Modern Slavery Policy / Statement
Modern Day Slavery Policy / Statement
This statement covers the steps taken by Joy Life Care Services Ltd to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to our business and to implement steps to prevent slavery and human trafficking between 3rd Jan 2024 – 3rd Jan 2025. Published in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (Transparency in Supply Chains) Regulations 2015. We have set ourselves goals at the end of this statement and will update the progress in our next statement in 2025 accordingly. We will continually follow these goals to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.
Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour.
Our Commitment to Ethical and Transparent Business Practices
At Joy Life Care Services Ltd, we are staunchly opposed to modern slavery in any form. As a growing home care and healthcare recruitment and supply agency in the UK, we recognise our responsibility to ensure ethical and transparent business practices across our operations and supply chain.
To fulfil this commitment, we have implemented robust policies and procedures to safeguard against human rights abuses like forced labour, human trafficking, and debt bondage.
Rigorous Recruitment and Supplier Selection
We thoroughly vet all staff and suppliers to confirm they meet our high ethical standards. This includes background checks, eligibility to work checks, and due diligence procedures when evaluating new suppliers.
Our contracts mandate compliance with anti-slavery laws. Suppliers must pay fair wages, hold their own supply chains accountable, and permit contract termination if modern slavery violations occur.
Empowering Our People to Speak Up
Open communication ensures everyone feels safe reporting concerning conduct. Our whistleblowing policy guarantees employees can raise issues without fear of retaliation.
Through regular anti-slavery and human trafficking training, we equip staff to recognize warning signs and understand reporting procedures.
Ongoing Assessment of Risks
As risks evolve, so do our policies. We continually review our supply chain and business practices to address emerging modern slavery threats proactively.
Collaborating for Lasting Change
The fight against modern slavery requires persistence, collaboration, and vigilance. We actively partner with stakeholders across our industry to promote awareness and forge robust solutions aimed at protecting vulnerable groups.
At Joy Life Care Services Ltd, we remain committed to driving meaningful change through ethical business standards that value human rights and the dignity of all people. Contact us to learn more about our anti-slavery efforts.
